Role Overview


  • Opexor is seeking a hands-on Azure DevOps Lead Engineer to lead the implementation of Azure DevOps Services, repositories, YAML pipelines, CI/CD workflows, agent pools, artifact management, approval gates, and deployment automation. 
  • This role will be responsible for converting the DevSecOps architecture into working Azure DevOps capabilities across cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities


  • Configure Azure DevOps projects, repositories, branch policies, pull request rules, and security permissions.  
  • Build reusable YAML pipeline templates for application build, test, scan, package, publish, promote, and deploy workflows.  
  • Configure CI/CD pipelines for frontend, backend, and middleware applications.  
  • Implement pipelines for ANT, Maven, npm/yarn, and IBM IIB / ACE BAR file build processes.  
  • Configure hosted agent pools for cloud Dev and SIT environments.  
  • Configure self-hosted agents for UAT, Production, and DR environments.  
  • Implement Azure DevOps environments, manual approvals, dual approval workflows, checks, and release controls.  
  • Integrate Azure Key Vault for secrets and credential management.  
  • Implement artifact publishing, versioning, and controlled promotion workflows.  
  • Support integration with security tools, SIEM, ITSM, and vulnerability management platforms.  
  • Create pipeline runbooks, technical documentation, and handover materials.  
  • Mentor engineers and support troubleshooting during implementation.

Required Skills and Experience


  • 8+ years of technology experience.  
  • 5+ years of hands-on Azure DevOps Services experience.  
  • 6+ years of CI/CD engineering experience.  
  • Strong experience with Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, YAML templates, environments, approvals, variable groups, service connections, and artifact publishing.  
  • Experience with self-hosted Azure DevOps agents in restricted or on-premises environments.  
  • Strong understanding of Git workflows, branch policies, pull requests, merge controls, and code review.  
  • Hands-on build automation experience with Maven, ANT, npm/yarn, and scripting.  
  • Experience integrating security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines.  
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault and secure secret handling.  
  • Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent.  
  • Experience with release management, rollback workflows, and deployment traceability.

Required Certifications


  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.  
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.  
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.  
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate is a plus.  
  • DevOps Foundation or equivalent certification is a plus.
