Role Overview
- The DevSecOps Architect and Technical Lead owns the end-to-end design authority for the Client DevOps and DevSecOps workstream. This role combines architecture leadership, technical governance, cross-workstream integration, and hands-on decision-making across Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, GitLab DevSecOps, SonarQube, CI/CD controls, DAST, IAST integration, signing controls, backup/restore, and DR readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the target architecture for Terraform, Vault, GitLab, GitLab Security, SonarQube, DAST, IAST integration, feature flags, and signing controls
- Lead solution design workshops with client, implementation teams, and vendor stakeholders
- Own design decisions for repository strategy, CI/CD governance, runner segregation, environment promotion controls, artifact governance, and DR model
- Oversee integration with OpenShift, Quay, object storage, CIAM, observability, and ServiceNow
- Approve technical standards, review implementation deliverables, and resolve high-risk design issues
- Support UAT, go-live readiness, service transition, and knowledge transfer

Required Skills and Experience
- 12+ years of overall experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or application delivery
- 7+ years in DevOps / DevSecOps architecture and technical leadership
- Strong experience with GitLab Self-Managed, Git-based delivery governance, CI/CD platform design, and enterprise release controls
- Strong experience with Terraform module strategy, remote state, and IaC operating models
- Strong experience with secrets management, secure software supply chain controls, and integration of security tooling into CI/CD
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes or OpenShift delivery patterns, signed image workflows, and regulated enterprise operating models
- Experience leading multi-workstream enterprise implementations with cross-team dependencies
Required Certifications
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate or Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional
- HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate or Vault Operations Professional
- GitLab Certified CI/CD Associate
- GitLab Certified Security Specialist
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator in OpenShift (EX280) or equivalent OpenShift certification
