Role Overview


  • Opexor is looking for an experienced OpenShift Engineer to support container platform integration, deployment readiness, and Azure DevOps pipeline integration with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes-based environments. 

  • This role will support deployment automation, namespace configuration, RBAC, service accounts, secrets, image deployment, platform connectivity, container security, and operational troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support Azure DevOps pipeline integration with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.  
  • Configure deployment patterns using OpenShift manifests, Kubernetes YAML, Helm, Kustomize, or equivalent tooling.  
  • Support namespace, RBAC, service account, secret, and configuration management.  
  • Support container image deployment, image pull secrets, registry connectivity, and deployment validation.  
  • Support image scanning, deployment policy controls, and platform security checks where applicable.  
  • Support self-hosted agent connectivity to on-premises OpenShift environments.  
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues related to routes, services, certificates, DNS, network policies, permissions, and platform constraints.  
  • Collaborate with DevOps and DevSecOps engineers to align CI/CD gates with OpenShift deployment requirements.  
  • Document deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and operational handover instructions.  
  • Support knowledge transfer for OpenShift deployment and troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Experience


  • 7+ years of technology experience.  
  • 4+ years of Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift administration experience.  
  • Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.  
  • Experience with oc and kubectl command-line tools.  
  • Experience with namespaces, RBAC, service accounts, secrets, config maps, deployments, routes, ingress, and operators.  
  • Experience with Helm, Kustomize, or Kubernetes manifest management.  
  • Experience with container registries, image pull policies, image scanning, and image signing concepts.  
  • Understanding of OpenShift security context constraints, pod security, network policies, TLS certificates, DNS, and service exposure.  
  • Experience integrating Azure DevOps pipelines with Kubernetes or OpenShift deployment targets.  
  • Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills.  
  • Experience with restricted, on-premises, or regulated environments is preferred. 



Required Certifications


  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.  
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Automation and Integration.  
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer, RHCE, is a plus.  
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator, CKA.  
  • Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, CKS, is a plus.  
  • Red Hat Certified Architect is a plus for senior candidates.
